ok, so in light of recent events, i.e.:
1) while i'm pissing in one stall, the person that comes in takes the stall RIGHT NEXT to me when there is clearly 3 stalls to his right that are empty.
2) people talking to me while they're pissing/taking a crap, whatever
3) etc etc
i decided that this post should be about something that i thought was common sense, but i'm not sure anymore? that's right, its about bathroom etiquette. Personally, i have few preferences and i try to keep them strict:
1) every guy, EVERY guy SHOULD know that there should ALWAYS be an empty stall between them, it's like if there is a 100 foot bench and you are sitting at one end, why would someone uncomfortably sit right next to you a few inches away. of course there are a few exceptions:
a) if you are at a club and the bathroom is small and you need to take a piss badly
b) if all other urinals are taken, of course i'd look into the stalls first but that is my personal preference
2) i don't believe there should be talking when the act of relieving one's self. it just shouldn't take place. it's uncomfortable enough to be in a public smelly ass bathroom, not the plush girls bathrooms that have couches and a lounge and possibly an expresso machine. guy's bathrooms are alwayas dirty and grimy and u never know what kinda diseases u can pick up just by wiping your ass. of course if you do happen to talk to someone in the bathroom please:
a) keep your eyes foward while you pee, don't turn your head to look at me while you are pissing and i'm pissing and you want to talk
b) at least if you want to talk to someone make sure you know the person? talking to strangers is uncomfortable in public bathrooms.
c) and it's just weird to pick up cell phones when u are taking a shit
3) always wash your hands please? i dunno, i guess that one is common sense
in keeping with tradition, i'll continuously update this with more important things, not to say that the above mentioned is unimportant, but that is because i feel that everything i said above is common sense?
